I just ordered my two-week starter program box 3-1/2 hrs. ago but, in the meantime, I have some products left I purchased just to sample. This evening I made a pizza by heating 1/2 c frozen chopped spinach, 1/4 c sliced onion, 10 small black olives halved, 1/3 c cherry tomatoes sliced, a dash of garlic powder, and salt and pepper in a little olive oil. I put the pizza crust on foil on a cookie sheet, poured the heated mixture over it, and topped it all with 3 canned artichoke hearts sliced, and grated pecorino romano. I did not have any kind of light cheese so I used what I had but not more than I needed for flavor. I didn't want just the wrong cheese to keep me from moving ahead. I heated the pizza in a 350 deg. oven for 10 or 15 min. I just wanted to melt the cheese a bit not make the pizza crust dry out. It didn't. Let me say I love to eat and this was almost more than I could handle and tasted fantastic. I got the portion sizes for the vegetables and condiments from the chart printed on a brochure that came with my sampling of products. I think it can be found on the medwell website as it is a tool for working with these foods. How easy can a program be when someone who is just starting to feel her way and hasn't received her two-week starter kit yet can make a terrific, simple meal that works! I hope I'm not jinxing myself -- the minute you start talking about a diet it's cursed, I know, but I am excited and had to share this with everybody. I hope it benefits somebody.
